for interested clients. Periodically, PIA Consulting will also offer these
courses as open enrollment IS/IT audit related training classes. These
open-enrollment training programs have proved to be very popular with
many audit professionals wanting to become more familiar with the IT

Fundamentals of Application Controls
This two-day class focuses on the presentation and discussion of
general guidelines in performing an information system
application controls review (ACR). The overall goal of this course
is to provide financial, operational, and entry-level IS/IT auditors
with the key concepts and basic knowledge necessary to identify,
test, and assess the reliability of application controls in
mainframe, client/server, and/or multi-platform environments.

IT General Control Reviews
This two-day class will focus on the presentation and discussion
of general guidelines in performing an information technology (IT)
general controls review. The goal of this course will be to provide
financial, operational, and entry-level IS/IT auditors with the key
concepts and basic knowledge necessary to perform an
information technology general controls review in either a
mainframe, client/server, and/or multi-platform environment.
